Greg Gutfeld Rips CNN for Giving Jasmine Crockett Airtime During Charlie Kirk Memorial Coverage

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld criticized CNN for its decision to air comments from Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) during coverage of Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, arguing that the network chose division over respect as thousands mourned Kirk’s death.

The segment began with a clip of Crockett on CNN, where she expressed dismay at how her Democratic colleagues voted on the House resolution condemning Kirk’s assassination and honoring his legacy. Crockett said it “hurt [her] heart” that only two white Democrats opposed the resolution, claiming that most of the “no” votes came from lawmakers of color who were more directly harmed by Kirk’s rhetoric. “The rhetoric that Charlie Kirk continuously put out there was rhetoric that specifically targeted people of color,” Crockett said. “It is unfortunate that even our colleagues could not see how harmful his rhetoric was specifically to us.”

Following the clip, Gutfeld immediately rebuked both Crockett and CNN. “Who cares about Crockett really? It’s CNN who truly has no shame,” he said. “100,000 people gathered in mourning and they do this. While Americans unite behind Charlie, murdered for speaking the truth, CNN chose hate, handing the microphone over to a malicious clown. Talk about not reading the room.”

The panelists on Gutfeld! joined in, questioning CNN’s editorial judgment in airing Crockett’s remarks. Tyrus noted that the network seemed intent on provoking outrage: “What is CNN thinking? They’re just so deep. They’re thinking, what is it going to be, the one interview that sparks? And they pick this.” Another panelist mocked Crockett’s diction and said her comments lacked substance: “If you want to have her on, ask real questions. She said nothing.”
