Luke Bryan Pokes Fun at Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal: ‘Who’s Here With Their Secretary?’
Even Luke Bryan doesn’t want the Astronomer kiss cam scandal to end.
While performing at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, on Thursday, July 17, as part of his Country Song Came On tour, the American Idol judge seemingly poked fun at the headlines stemming from a recent Coldplay show.
“We’re gonna shine our cameras on anybody,” Bryan, 49, said in fan footage. “Who’s here with their secretary tonight? Hey, it’s gotta be someone way up there.”
As the venue panned its cameras to various audience members, Bryan continued to have some fun with the internet’s latest obsession.
“Oh, yeah! There they are,” he said before he started playing portions of his song “Strip It Down.”
“Don’t get caught tonight!” he joked. “Do not get caught tonight.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Bryan’s rep for additional comment.

Earlier this week, Chris Martin and his band, Coldplay, were performing at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, when the venue’s kiss cam seemingly caught two attendees having an affair.
“Whoa, look at these two. Alright, come on. You’re OK,” he said in a fan video as a man and woman quickly hid their faces and tried to escape the camera. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”
Once the two attendees completely disappeared from the shot, Martin added, “Holy s***. I hope we didn’t do something bad.”
After the concert footage quickly went viral on social media, the internet discovered the pair put on the big screen were Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot.
In an added twist, Byron is reportedly married — to a woman multiple outlets identified as Megan Kerrigan Byron — not Cabot.
On Friday, July 18, Astronomer — a tech company that aims to empower data teams to bring mission-critical software, analytics and AI to life — announced they are conducting a “formal investigation” into the matter.
“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” a company statement shared via LinkedIn read. “Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”
They also confirmed Byron has not put out any statement thus far.

❤️She called him “Papa George,” and for George Strait, there’s one bond that softens his heart every time he talks about it — his 8-year-old granddaughter, with eyes as bright as a Texas morning sky. “Love Without End, Amen” isn’t just a song for fathers. It’s a quiet message from someone who’s lived through life — to a young, tender heart still learning how the world works. It’s protection, without conditions — through right and wrong, through confusion and silence. George never had to explain it. He just sang. And the little girl believed him. Because to her, his voice wasn’t just music — it was the safest place in the world. And maybe, one day, when he’s gone, she’ll press play again… and remember that once, there was a love that never needed to be proven — and never, ever ended. Love without end. Amen. ▶️Listen this song in the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 👇
