Not stopping there, according to information from Page Six, Andy Byron was accused of causing a lot of internal dissatisfaction when he worked at cybersecurity technology company Cybereason, where he held the role of chief revenue officer, from 2017-2019.
A former employee said the company initially did well, but the relentless pressure from management to grow drove things out of control.
“We started off on the right foot and were very successful, but with the pressure to grow our staff and revenue, it wasn’t enough to just be a fast-growing company. We had to be the fastest-growing company,” the person said, describing the experience as “disappointing.”
Byron’s poor management skills were cited as a reason for many employees leaving, The Information reported. To fill the void, he hired a series of sales people from his former company, Fuze.
In an interview at the time, Byron said he was hired by Cybereason to help the company enter its next phase of growth, which meant “tough decisions” that could “frustrate some individuals.” However, he denied any wrongdoing.
After many years, Andy Byron is now the CEO of the software company Astronomer (headquartered in New York), and is also not liked by his employees. At the time he was caught being intimate with HR director Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert, another Astronomer employee was also present.
