The breakdown of Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s 11-year marriage may not have been as sudden as fans thought.

According to a new People report, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum discovered that Tucker had been “talking to other women behind her back” prior to their split — a revelation that left her “not happy” and reportedly blindsided.

“She had no idea,” a source told the outlet, adding that the couple had been dealing with marriage troubles “for a while now.”

Reps for Burruss, 49, and Tucker, 52, have not responded to requests for comment.

Kandi Admits the Marriage Had Been ‘Brewing for a While’

During a November 24 Amazon Live session — shortly after news of their separation broke — Burruss admitted that the public had no idea she’d been struggling behind the scenes.

“All the times you’ve been seeing me online smiling means nothing,” she said.
“I’ve been going through it, child. Life has been life-ing me.”

The pair, who married in 2014, share two young children: Ace, 9, and Blaze, 6.

Todd Fights the Prenup — and Wants Primary Custody

Though Burruss filed for divorce first, Tucker’s legal response indicates things are getting messy fast.

According to Us Weekly, Tucker is now:

Challenging the couple’s prenuptial agreement, claiming he signed it under pressure

Requesting primary physical custody of their two kids

Seeking joint legal custody, and possibly alimony if the prenup is voided

Tucker’s attorneys argue the prenup was handed to him immediately before the wedding ceremony, without his own legal counsel present, despite prior discussions with his team.

If the court invalidates the agreement, it could significantly alter how assets and custody are divided.

Yet… They Still Spent Thanksgiving Together

Despite the legal tension, the blended family celebrated Thanksgiving together on November 27.

Burruss shared a warm family photo on Instagram with the caption:

“Happy Thanksgiving! I truly enjoyed my day with my fam. I hope you enjoyed yours!”

After fans noticed Tucker was missing from the picture, she clarified:

“Todd came earlier to eat with us but he wasn’t there for the pic. He was not left out or anything like that.”

Burruss’ eldest daughter, Riley, 23, and Tucker’s daughter, Kaela, 29, were also part of the gathering.
