Angel Reese to make history as first professional athlete in Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese has announced on Instagram that she will be walking in the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15, making history as the first professional athlete to do so.
“Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria’s Secret ANGEL,” the 23-year-old Reese wrote. “I’m finally getting my wings. I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. Wings on, heels ready…Catch me on the runway.”
Victoria’s Secret shared a video on Instagram capturing the announcement, featuring Reese in a pink robe, black lingerie, and white feather wings. “Angel Reese, welcome to the runway. The first professional athlete angel…major is an understatement,” the post read.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which began in 2001, ran annually for nearly two decades before being canceled in 2019. The show returned last year, with Reese attending as a guest, and this year she will step onto the runway herself, marking a historic moment for the brand and for athletes in fashion.
