Speculation that country superstars Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean would perform at Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show” has been circulating online — but there’s no truth to the claim.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the conservative youth organization founded by the late political activist Charlie Kirk, has yet to confirm any performers for its 2026 event, which is being positioned as an alternative to the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show.

The rumor began when an X post by @NewswirePatriot claimed that Wallen and Aldean would perform The Star-Spangled Banner at the TPUSA event. The post amassed over 178,000 views and 17,000 likes, prompting widespread online speculation. However, neither TPUSA nor representatives for the two artists have issued any confirmation.

When prompted for verification, Elon Musk’s AI bot “Grok” also stated it could find “no official confirmation from Trump, Morgan Wallen, or their teams,” calling the post speculative.

The misinformation echoes a previous viral rumor earlier this month, which listed Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Lee Greenwood, and others as performers. That claim, too, was later labeled “unconfirmed” by X’s community notes.

Turning Point USA first announced The All-American Halftime Show on October 9, saying that performer details would be released “soon.” Conservative commentator Jack Posobiec, who is associated with TPUSA, later emphasized that “no artists have been announced yet.”

The controversy emerged amid debates surrounding the NFL’s official halftime performer, Bad Bunny, who was selected for Super Bowl LX. The Puerto Rican star’s appointment sparked backlash from some conservative groups, who argued the show should better reflect “traditional American culture.”

In response, the NFL defended its choice. Commissioner Roger Goodell said the selection was “carefully thought through,” adding that criticism is inevitable when “hundreds of millions of people are watching.”

Meanwhile, Lara Trump has floated the idea of rapper Tom MacDonald joining the TPUSA event, calling him “awesome.” MacDonald responded enthusiastically, saying he hoped her suggestion could “become reality.”

As it stands, the TPUSA Halftime Show lineup remains unannounced, and Bad Bunny is set to perform at the NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 8, 2026.
